The misconduct took place at Basildon Hospital between 2002 and 2007 A nurse who made a colleague do personal errands for her has been suspended from the nursing register.Abiola Apara asked a support worker at Basildon Hospital to take her car to a garage, drive her to Ikea and maintain her home - all while he was on duty.
The Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) found six out of seven charges proven.
The NMC decided that striking her name off its register would be "disproportionate", but suspended her for 12 months.
The disciplinary panel heard the worker was told to fit new lights at Ms Apara's home, put sealant around her bath, fix a leaking tap, install a washing machine and mend a conservatory lock.
Basildon & Thurrock University Hospitals NHS Trust said Ms Apara was dismissed in May 2007 after bullying allegations were made against her.
'You! Office! Now!'Ms Apara, who worked on the hospital's Lionel Cousins ward, denied the charges dating from 2002 to 2007 and claimed they were part of a "conspiracy" by her former colleagues.
She was not at the hearing, but the tribunal heard she was able to produce a good reference from her current employer in Nigeria.
During the hearing, the panel heard Ms Apara did not speak to a ward sister for five weeks and only communicated with her via notes left in the staff room.
She also behaved inappropriately to a ward hostess by shouting "You! Office! Now!" at her and not speaking to her for 17 weeks, the hearing was told.
In its judgement, the NMC panel said it was not certain Ms Apara had "fully learnt from these incidents".
But it also felt her misconduct was "not fundamentally incompatible" with her continuing to be a registered nurse.
